Our projects, whether landscape, architecture, interior or product, are driven by process and the development of key ideas and concepts. These are explored and refined in detail throughout each stage of the design process to achieve the best possible outcomes. Clients are given the opportunity to review and comment throughout the presentation of each stage.
Typically, these stages would consist of Concept Design, Design Development, and then Contract Documentation as a final stage. Cielo Design Studio can also offer on-site project management on projects as they evolve and grow to their full potential. Town-planning and Building Permit stages can be integrated into the design process, should these permits apply to your project.
Each stage includes a site meeting, full design consultation services and a comprehensive package of drawings and documents that can be issued to you both electronically and in hard copy formats.

The typical design process example for a landscape design project is outlined below.
The first step is to meet with the client and/or architect to establish a vision and brief specific to the clients needs, site and design requirements, and functional aspects of the project including an initial discussion of budget. Following this meeting, a fee proposal will be provided for your consideration.
Once onboard, the first stage is typically a concept design response to the brief, where we will explore ideas and research all aspects of your project, developing the first stage design package that encapsulates all possibilities for your space and project needs. Every project has a unique story to tell.
Following your concept design review, we can commence the more refined design development stage of works. This stage will include detailed CAD drawings,an opinion of probable cost, as well as a detailed specification of materials, planting and product recommendations for your consideration. Samples of materials can also be provided if requested. We can complete at permit requirements during this stage.
Following your design development review, the final stage can be prepared – Contract Documentation. A complete and detailed drawing package will be prepared and issued to the builder / contractor for quotation. Once quotation by builders and fabricators is received and signed off, your construction process is ready to commence.
